Tahitensis vanilla beans are a cross between the Planifolia and Pompona varieties. They are best known for originating in Tahiti or Papua New Guinea.
Tahitian vanilla beans are black*, shiny and fleshy, fragrant, unsplit and soft to the touch.

Recommended dosage: 1 to 3 beans per liter of preparation (to be adapted according to the application).
How to prepare vanilla beans
To use a vanilla pod properly, cut it in half, then split the halves in half lengthwise.
Then, using the back of a knife blade, scrape out the black seeds.
You can then add them to your preparation.
What to do with empty vanilla beans?
After emptying them, you can add the vanilla beans to your preparation, along with the seeds, to give it even more flavor.
Or you can reuse them in a variety of ways:
- As an infusion in milk or cream,
