General questions

Do I need to register to order?

In order to order on Special-Day.ch you do not need to create an account. Simply leave the "create an account" option unchecked during checkout.

Is it possible to come and see the articles?

Yes, of course, we've opened our warehouse so that you can come and choose your items. Whether it's decorations or pastries, we've got everything you need to make your party a real success. What's more, our staff will be happy to advise you if you wish.

Are the products exactly as shown in the photos?

We do our best to make photos that show the colors, shapes and specific features of each product as clearly as possible. However, it is possible that the colors may be slightly different depending on your monitor (color setting/brightness), but also because some shades vary slightly between the batches we receive. In addition, all hand-painted or hand-made items may have more pronounced color differences. In particular, we cannot guarantee the hair color of the bride and groom's figurines.

Is the hair color of the figurines exact or customizable?

As the figurines are hand-painted, hair color and other details may vary from batch to batch. We therefore cannot guarantee that the color of the item sent corresponds to that shown in the product photo. If you wish to be sure of the color, please contact us before ordering.

Delivery

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are dispatched within 1 working day of the order being placed, or after payment has been received if you choose to pay in advance. As a general rule, your parcels are sent every day by economy, priority, express or Saturday delivery, depending on your choice at the time of ordering. For urgent orders, please contact us by email or telephone so that we can confirm the availability of the items you require. If one or more items in your order are out of stock, we will ship your order only when all items are available again.

Can I see the status of my order?

You'll receive an email when you place your order, and another with the tracking number when the package is ready to be dispatched. So you can track the status of your order at any time on the post office website.

Rentals

Is the price per day or per weekend?

All our rentals are for 7 days. So the price is for the whole weekend. There's no need to worry about picking up your rental items on the day of rental - you'll receive them in advance.

When will I receive my rental items?

Rental items are usually sent to you by post on the Tuesday or Wednesday before the rental weekend, but by Friday at the latest. Once the rental period is over, you must return the items to us by post on Monday.

Do I have to wash the rented chair covers?

No, there's no need to wash the covers - we take care of everything and it's included in the rental price.

What happens if I don't return the items on time?

If we don't receive the rental items by the Wednesday following the rental weekend, we'll have to charge you an additional 50% of the rental price, as we won't be able to return them in time for the following weekend. The same applies for the following weeks, until we receive the items back, or confirmation from you that you wish to keep the items, in which case we will charge you the difference between the rental price and the current purchase price.

What happens if I break or damage an item?

Damaged or stained items that cannot be re-rented will be charged. You will be charged the difference between the rental price already paid and the current selling price. On request, you can of course write to us within 3 days of receiving our email and we will send you the damaged items.
