Description / Preparation for Genoise - Gluten Free
Easily create the best base for your cake with FunCakes Gluten-Free Cake Mix. With this easy mix, you can make airy, tall, pastry-quality sponge cakes. Just add eggs and water to the mix and, if you like, lemon zest or FunCakes flavouring paste. The result is a beautiful, flat, tasty cake that you can decorate as you wish.
Because the mixes are made in a gluten-free factory, FunCakes can guarantee that they contain less than 20 mg / 20ppm gluten per kg. Most people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity will be symptom-free on this low dose. So anyone following a strict gluten-free diet can finally bake with FunCakes.
Preparation: Preheat oven to 175°C (convection oven 165°C). Food should be at room temperature. For a Ø20 cm cake, mix 250 g mix, 230 g eggs (4½ pieces) and 20 ml water in a bowl. Mix at high speed for 8 to 10 minutes. Then mix at low speed for a further 2-3 minutes. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin (1/2 to 2/3 full). Place the cake in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Do not open during baking! The cake is ready when it is elastic to the touch. Unmould the cake immediately after baking and leave to cool on a cake rack.
